Custom Agents
Trezable AI lets you create and manage multiple named agents. Each agent can use a different model and a different set of skills, so you can shape the assistant to the kind of work you are doing.
Why create separate agents
Different tasks benefit from different setups:
- A general-purpose agent for everyday questions and quick tasks.
- A research agent tuned for deep, multi-step investigation.
- A writing agent for long-form content and documents.
- A coding agent for code, scripts, and technical work.
Instead of reconfiguring a single assistant each time, you create the agent you need and switch when the task changes.
Managing agents
- Create a new agent with a name you recognize and the model you want it to use.
- Select skills and capabilities that fit the agent’s purpose.
- Switch between agents from the conversation interface — each agent keeps its own setup.
- Update an agent’s model or skills at any time.
Agents and threads
Threads keep the conversation history, while agents define the assistant’s capabilities. You can start a new thread with any agent, and the same agent can work across many threads. See Agents and Threads in the User Guide.
